The Town Council meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6pm in the Council Chambers located at 1449 Valkaria Road, Grant-Valkaria, FL 32950.
The Town Council shall consist of six Councilmembers and one Mayor, for a total of seven members, all of whom shall be elected at large. The term for each Councilmember and Mayor shall be four years. The next Town election will be November 3, 2026.

Encourage enterprises that are compatible with our small town’s rural atmosphere and foster responsible, community controlled growth.
Mission Statements
• Streets, bridges and transit stops within the town shall be planned, designed, constructed, operated, and maintained, so that pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, equestrians, and motorists of all ages and abilities can travel safely and independently.
• Maintain and develop the infrastructure to meet the current and future needs of the town.
• Promote and facilitate the enhancement of the visual aesthetics along the Town’s main thoroughfares.
• Promote ecotourism on the Indian River Lagoon and encourage responsible passive recreational use of publicly owned lands while still protecting the environment.
• Encourage the establishment of small businesses that are compatible with the rural nature of the Town.
• Establish policies, procedures, and ordinances that will protect the environmental resources of the Town.
• Foster and promote a strong community spirit and identity.
• In all actions, the rural character of the Town shall be of primary importance.
